The Best Anti Snoring Mouthpiece!
Or is it?
That is the claim made by the companies official website. In this article, we plan to do an in-depth SnoreDoc Review to verify the claims.
Many factors determine how good or useful instead, an anti-snoring device is. Moreover, lacking just one or more of those elements will make or break a product.
Truth is…
Finding a product that has it all is like searching for a needle in a haystack. So believe it or not such a product has not yet been made.
Here is why: Snoring differs between individuals. And this is not just my opinion; it is a fact.
What Type of Snorer Are You?
Many snorers suffer from some form of sleep apnea. It could be Obstructive sleep apnea, Central sleep apnea, or maybe Complex sleep apnea syndrome. Then again it could also just be a mild form of snoring which can plainly be resolved by using an anti-snoring device.
However, the problem remains. There is no one product fix for snoring as even mild snorers differ from person to person. And most times the position the person sleeps in determines when or if they snore. Your sleeping position also the intensity of their snoring.
SnoreDoc like most other efficient snoring mouthpiece is a Mandibular Advancement Device. These Mandibular Advancement devices, as it is referred to by medical professionals, work for a straightforward reason.
They help restore your blocked airways. When you sleep the soft tissue at the back of the throat relaxes, and it makes it harder for you to breathe correctly resulting in forced breathing.
This blocked up air passage is what produces that annoying vibrations we refer to as snoring. The MADs solve this by directly bringing the lower jaw forward.
This forward movement of the jaw allows more air to flow through our throat to our lungs. And eliminates or dramatically reduces our snoring issue!
Now here’s the deal: To be crowned the best MAD on the market the product needs to satisfy a few conditions.
None of the conditions we listed above can be missing or lacking in any way for it to be named the best. So you will see just where the SnoreDoc stands after reading this review.
Why Should You Trust Us?
I am an avid reader, health enthusiast and writer that specializes in all things related to sleep. I have spent the last four years testing and reviewing many different gadgets that enhance people’s sleep quality.
And let’s face it, not many of us get to enjoy a good nights rest for quite many reasons. Otherwise, you would not be reading this review.
The truth is:
Like many of you, I am a dreaded snorer too. However, after spending months researching, testing and reviewing many anti-snoring gadgets. I have a solid grasp of what products work and which ones only work “In Theory.”
I have gone from mouthpieces to chin straps to medical grade gear such as CPAP machines and different surgical procedures. All to be able to provide reliable information on the best anti-snoring appliance.
For the SnoreDoc mouthpiece, I spent 12 hours reading tonnes of reviews by users and other experts that have tested the product. I have also watched more than 30 videos related to the product before putting together this study.
Who Should Be Using This Product?
Many snorers suffer from dangerous conditions such as elevated blood pressure, diabetes, obstructive sleep apnea and many others illnesses.
This product is for you if you consistently wake in the mornings feeling tired as if you have not slept at all.
If you head out every day and feel like the days are dragging on and on you might not be sleeping properly. So using the SnoreDoc or other similar anti-snoring mouthpieces would work great.
If your days seem foggy and you just can’t seem to get enough work done, and things keep going wrong.
If your situation matches any of the above scenarios or similar, I would advice monitoring your sleep quality. You may have issues breathing correctly at nights, which causes you to feel tired and down when you wake up.
As I mentioned earlier, snoring is a serious medical condition and seeking medical attention is crucial.
What Is SnoreDoc?
The Original SnoreDoc is an anti-snoring mouthpiece that uses mandibular advancement to eliminate or reduce snoring.
Like most ordinary MADs the device holds your lower jaw forward at a fixed distance while you sleep.
Bringing the lower jaw forward opens up your airways and allows you to breathe freely.
Eliminating or Reducing snoring is just one benefit of using mandibular advancement devices like the original SnoreDoc mouthpiece.
It also helps you to get higher quality sleep which leaves you feeling refreshed when you wake up.
The problem is not all MADs are made equal. The SnoreDoc is one such product which in my opinion does not stand up to some of the others we have reviewed.
You will see why in the flaws and potential deal breakers section of our SnoreDoc review.
The product is made of thermoplastic and feels like soft rubber. I could not find the exact materials used to make the product.
The product has a simple design and does not include any loose parts such or screws. The design structure makes cleaning of the product somewhat simpler than some of the other devices in this category.
The mouthpiece uses the boil and bite which gives you a custom fit in the comfort and privacy of your own home. One functionality issue with the fit of SnoreDoc is that it is a one size fits all product. That means depending on your jaw and teeth structure; your results may differ from what they claim.
For mouth breathers, the Snoredoc may not be the best option for you.
However, there are two versions of the product we tested, one white and the newer version blue. The older white version of the product only has one small airflow hole at the front.
The tiny hole at the front severely limits breathing out of your mouth.
The new blue version has two holes at the front that allows for breathing. The newer one should be a little better for persons that breathe from their mouths.
A bonus of this product is that there is a 30-day money back guarantee so refunding if it does not work is an option. The FDA also approved the product which proves that it has some credibility.
What Did We Like About The Product?
We gave the SnoreDoc a chance because of the price, it’s FDA approval and the fact that it is a mandibular advancement device.
Why?
Let’s face it, being able to purchase a custom fitting MAD at half the price of other products on the market is excellent.
Furthermore, if the FDA stands behind it, that means that it has at least been tested; and the claims made by the company hold true to some extent.
We also liked that the company behind the SnoreDoc has been around for a few years.
How Much Does SnoreDoc Cost?
As we mentioned above the price of the product is nearly half of some the more premium and effective MADs available. The product retails at just $39.99 making it one of the cheapest mouthpieces of this nature.
You might be able to get it at a discounted price of $34.99 if you purchase at the time we published this review. It also has free shipping to select destinations, and 30-day money back guarantee.

Custom Fitting Process
The fitting of the device is relatively straightforward. It merely involves boiling the product and firmly biting down on the mouthpiece.
We will give the exact steps to follow as the fit determines how useful the product is.
Word of caution:
As the SnoreDoc is a one size fits all product it might not work efficiently for you because no adjustments can be made to it.
The product comes in a case which includes a popsicle stick, the mouthpiece, and a complete instruction manual.
Instructions
If you follow our steps correctly, you should get a very comfortable fit. You will need the mouthpiece, the popsicle stick, and two bowls. One of the containers should be filled with boiling water and the other with tap water.
- Step 1: Bring some water to a boil and pour it in one of the jars. Ensure that you already have the tap water filled in the other container.
- Step 2: Place the SnoreDoc mouthpiece into the container with the boiling water and leave it there for at least 90 seconds. Ensure that you insert the stick into the air hole at the front before dipping it.
- Step 3: Remove the product from the boiling water and immediately dip it in the tap water to cool it a bit. Do not leave it in the tap water for more than 15 seconds.
- Step 4: Immediate place the product in your mouth in the correct position. Ensure that the extended part is at the bottom.
- Step 5: Bite down firmly on the mouthpiece and hold for 30 seconds.
That is how easy it is to get the perfect fit.
How Does SnoreDoc Compare to Others?
Frankly, it is not that great of a product and not something we would “Highly” recommend buying at this point. The competitors all offer a lot more advanced features. Built with higher quality materials and furthermore, they have been clinically tried and proven to eliminate snoring.
The Snoredoc does not have much going for it apart from the price. Which if you are a “quality” person when it comes to your health I am sure you would opt for more premium goods.
Final Thoughts
Many other anti-snoring mouthpieces will help you achieve better results than this one. The Original SnoreDoc mouthpiece is for persons merely looking for a cheaper alternative.
Therefore, if you do not mind sacrificing your comfort and the effectiveness of the product for your snoring problem, go ahead and try it. You will lose nothing really as it is backed by a 30-day money back guarantee.
If you are desperate to get rid of your snoring, you will not mind spending a few extra bucks. I recommend checking out the Vital Sleep, or even the Snore RX.
Both products we recommend are mandibular advancement devices but of a higher standard. They are both very popular and effective in eliminating snoring.
The Snore Rx allows incremental adjustments of the lower jaw thus giving you a more comfy fit. It is also very comfortable and is made from medical grade materials.
The vital sleep mouthpiece is available in two sizes, and also allows you to make small changes to the lower jaw position. It is Latex and BPA-free and has a larger hole that allows for better mouth breathing.
Moreover, as an added benefit the company behind vital sleep also provides a full year of free replacement should anything go wrong with the product.
All in All, the original SnoreDoc is a cheap mouthpiece that you can use if you are on a budget and wish to test the effectiveness of a MADs product.
