Plus it comes with onboard memory that can keep your workout data stored on the monitor for syncing with a device later. Additionally, the Wahoo TICKR X supports dual-band technology and is fully compatible with Peloton. Plus you also get a long battery life of 12 months.
The device is also waterproof for up to 5 ft and comes with a comfy strap that you can wash if it gets dirty after a ride. The only downside is the price. However, it is an excellent heart rate monitor overall and works great with their products.

Overall it’s a great model, and you’ll have no issues connecting with a lot of other fitness apps and devices with this monitor.

How Heart Rate Monitor Works With Peloton?
For any heart rate monitor to work with the Peloton bike, it needs to be equipped with Bluetooth or Wireless ANT+ technology. So if you already own a heart rate monitor you need to verify if it has the required technologies and if it does, then it should work. But if you don’t already own one, then we’ve got you covered as all the items on this list work with the bike.
Now that we’ve gone over the top alternate devices, we’ll answer some of our most asked questions.
You can wear a heart rate monitor on your arm with an armband or around your chest. We found little to no difference in accuracy between the chest strap and armband monitors. And since the accuracy is dependent on the model you are using, all you need to do is go with one of the brands we recommend.
Overall we found that the chest devices were a little more accurate than the armband products. But that difference was barely noticeable when we tested with the Rhythm+ and Garmin HRM Dual. However, we did find the armband monitors a little more comfortable to wear while cycling.
We’ve owned many heart rate trackers over the years but our favorite one for Peloton is the Scosche Rhythm+. The device is easy to connect, tracks your heart rate measurements accurately, and is reasonably priced. After the Scosche, our next favorite model currently is the Garmin HRM-Dual for its impressive accuracy and super-long battery life.
Overall you don’t need an Peloton heart rate monitor to use with the bike or any similar stationary bikes like the Peloton. However, having one certainly transformed our experience, and it will surely change yours too.
